Info on how our club originated. It started back in 1997 when a group of west coast bikers who had been riding together decided to form a social club where like minded riders could get together on a more formal basis. It wasn’t long before it was decided to change to a motorcycle club with colours and the first meeting was held in a small hall in the military academy. Present at that time were Johan Le Roux, Werner Van Der Walt, Andre Kroese, Pieter Richter, Charl de Goede, Frank Gallienne, Stephen Borstlap and Floors Momberg. (The last three are members to this day) At that meeting the club name “Meeulanders” was adopted, the emblem was designed and Werner Van Der Walt was elected as the first President, Johan Le Roux was elected vice President and the club came into being. Twenty years later the club is still going strong with (to date) 26 members.
